I was honored to be recognized as the Colorado Economic Justice and Equity Legislator of the Year by the Colorado Center on Law and Policy during their annual Communities Against Poverty celebration. The CCLP does amazing work at the intersection between justice and economic inequalities and it was incredible working with them this year to build towards a more equitable and prosperous Colorado. I am beyond proud of my work this year with the CCLP and Colorado Children's Campaign on Colorado's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. Together we were able to identify three new funding sources to help 14,000 families qualify for assistance. I would like to thank the CCLP for their recognition and I look forward to continuing to work with them to create a more inclusive, equitable, and fair Colorado for everyone.
